A Few Other Primitive Types
Java includes four commonly used numeric types:
- int,
- long,
- float, and
- double
We discussed
- The differences between the types in terms of the range and

- Operations +, -, *, /; on ints
- Operations +, -, *, and / on doubles
- "Mixed mode" arithmetic
- The importance of understanding precedence rules for
determining the order of operations, and the usefulness of
parentheses.
