Live octopus in Korea

Arrived in South Korea today. We headed directly for a coastal town to sample their most famous dish, san nakji, or raw octopus. I had a difficult time at first since the suction cups kept sticking to the top of my mouth, but once I got past that, it tasted like really fresh squid. 1. Wear gloves when preparing.
  2. Season with sesame seeds and sesame oil.
  3. Chew completely before swallowing.

Guinea pig in Peru

We're flying out today. Last night, I tried the cuy chactado (deep-fried guinea pig) at the Manos Morenas restaurant in Lima. I thought it was even better than southern fried chicken! (Sorry if you're grossed out by the picture.)
